As reported by Kotaku, players are posting their experiences across Reddit, Twitter, and the official Anthem forum, detailing a problem in which their PS4s completely and unexpectedly shut down while trying to play or close out of BioWare's online RPG. "Took me 5 minutes", claimed one Redditor.
Quite a few people, including some TSA staff, say the fans in their PS4 Pro's are running and full speed when playing Anthem so perhaps the game is causing the console to overheat. Oddly enough, these issues seem to be now only on PS4 and not PC or Xbox One.
Players who've requested a refund due the issue have reportedly done so with varying degrees of success.

"Only disconnect the plug of the AC power cord from the electrical outlet when the power indicator is turned off". Largely, the problem centers around some of the game's issues with crashing.

Sony is now issuing refunds on the PlayStation Store for Anthem, which spells doom for the game's long-term success on the world's biggest gaming platform.
To request a refund from Sony, you can contact PlayStation Support. "Coming off our Early Access period, we understand that we have lots of work ahead of us to continue to improve the game", Head of Live Service Chad Robertson wrote in a blog post announcing the Anthem update road map for the game's first three months. "We're investigating and ask that you share your crash data reports when prompted".
