Lady Gaga gave us a different rendition of the song as she took the stage to perform the A Star Is Born hit at the 61st Annual GRAMMY Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday. "I'm in tears with honor and gratitude", she wrote on Twitter after her first win.
The Grammy Awards kicked off Sunday with a group of powerful women, including Michelle Obama and Lady Gaga, describing the role of music in their lives - a display that came a year after female voices were somewhat muted at the 2018 ceremony.
Rapper Childish Gambino's "This is America", about police brutality and racism, won the first big award - song of the year - as well as best music video, and best rap performance.
Gaga's current red carpet style reign has been in collaboration with her stylists Tom Eerebout and Sandra Amador, who have not only dressed her for the A Star Is Born promo tour, but they're also the masterminds behind her awards season wardrobe and the stage costumes for her Vegas shows "Enigma" and "Jazz and Piano". Gaga tweeted, "I wish so much I was there but am at the Grammys to show them our love as well".
"It was when my creativity & self expression was stifled by you, that i decided not to attend. i hope the show is exactly what you want it to be and more", she continued.
Sunday night, Drizzy beat out colleagues Travis Scott ("SICKO MODE"), Jay Rock ("King's Dead" and "WIN"), and Eminem ("Lucky You") to take the trophy home for "God's Plan". So if you see somebody that is hurting, don't look away.
Watch us get some wins in Apex Legends
Another reason we think that the game won't get a single player campaign anytime soon is that the game is primarily free to play. After a surprise launch on Monday, Apex Legends hit several milestones in its debut week on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC servers.
It all began when Grammys producer Ken Ehrlich told The Associated Press in an article published Thursday that by the time Grande and those running the show reached the point where a performance felt possible, she decided against it because she felt it was "too late for her to pull something together".
Kacey Musgraves, Childish Gambino, Brandi Carlile and Ariana Grande, who will be a no-show this year, were also among the pre-ceremony winners.
Dua Lipa won her first Grammy for the Silk City collaboration Electricity, which got best dance recording.
What will the final speech from Neil Portnow - who caused more than a little consternation a year ago when he said women needed to "step up" in order to secure broader inclusion - contain?
A performance honoring the legacy of the late "Queen of Soul" Aretha Franklin is also expected.
