Manny Pacquiao rocked Adrien Broner twice and chased him all night Saturday to retain the World Boxing Association (WBA) welterweight crown for the first time before a crowd of 13,025 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.
With Mayweather watching from ringside, Pacquiao showed flashes of his old speed in winning a unanimous 12-round decision over Broner to easily defend his piece of the welterweight title.
In the seventh round, Pacquiao pushed Broner back to the ropes and delivered an onslaught of punches that left Broner holding on for survival.
"At the age of 40 I can still give my best", Pacquiao said". Then in the ninth, Pacquiao found success again with his left hand, crushing Broner with a stiff shot right to his face.
Pacquiao (60-7-2, 39 KOs) will be returning to fight in the United States for the first time in more than two years. He was missing. I hit him more times.

The undercard for Pacquiao vs Broner is scheduled to commence at around 2am. "The Manny Pacquiao journey still continues". "Everybody knows I beat him", he added.
The closing rounds were never going to be as frenetic as that, with Pacquiao perhaps realising he doesn't need a knockout win to keep fight fans on his side, but he still landed more punches and pressed forward constantly.
